Acrylic Render

At Sadaka’s Rendering we pride ourselves on our quality acrylic rendering service. No short cut is taken in the material or the process as we follow manufacturer’s guidelines. We have been using Unitex products for over 12 years and we recommend it for everything acrylic as they have a product for every substrate be it brickwork, hardytex blueboard, polystyrene, hebel…

Brickwork

For brickwork we use two coats of Redi Render on straight brickwork or one coat of Highlite for rough brickwork. We apply the first coat of acrylic render using external corners where needed and fibre glass mesh where there are visible cracks in the brickwork. Every care is taken to ensure the first coat of acrylic render is as straight as possible and we let it set for a day or two before we apply the second coat.

Blueboard

For blueboard we treat the joints, corners and returns with 250ml fibreglass mesh, alloy corners and polymer render. One coat of baseboard render strengthen with 10% polymer render is then applied all over.

Polystyrene

On Polystyrene we use alloy corners, fibreglass mesh all over, one coat of baseboard reinforced with 20% polymer render and another coat of Redi Render when the first coat is 100% dry.

Pre-coated polystyrene is treated the same way as blueboard.

Hebel

The application of acrylic render on Hebel is treated the same way as polystyrene.

Texture

The acrylic base coat needs to be 100% dry on any substrate before the texture is to be applied. The right temperature and humidity is vital to the application of acrylic texture as it requires consistency to dry up properly. Texture shouldn’t be applied in extreme weather (below 14 degrees Celsius or over 43). A coat of sealer is strongly recommended by the manufacturer for projects close to the beach as the salty moisture can cause rust in the acrylic render.

Due to the large variety of finishes and colours in texture it’s hard to carry all samples therefore we recommend visiting supplier’s website for details or we can provide you with samples if requested. The application of texture varies from trowel on, spray on and roll on.
